As mom prepared for worship during the Sunday morning hussle, she stopped to give little johnny two silver coins. "Remember Johnny one is for your snacks and the other is for God when they pass the collection plates" said Mummy.
"Thanks Mom" he responded and with glee in his eyes he ran off to the restroom. While washing his face, one of his coins fell into the bathroom sink.
"Mummy! Mummy!" he cried out. "God's money just went down the drain!".
Many are willing to serve God as long as it doesn't cost them too much time or effort. They give God the crumbs of their lives, and as far as they are concerned, He'll just have to be satisfied with that. But is he?
To put God first in our lives, we must
begin by putting Him first in our hearts! - Matthew 22:37,38
have a love that demonstrates its greater than our love for kindred - Matthew 10:37
have a love that demonstrates its greater than anything - Luke 16:13
have a love that denies even ourselves - Luke 9:23
